About the Artist

Hi! My name's Klare Frank and this is my portfolio. As you can see, it's a combination of my design and photography, both fields that I have been heavily interested in for the past eight years. I began designing websites in 2002 with my first sites being for local bands, most of which have now said their farewells. Ever since designing my first websites, I have had a passion for creating beautiful and organized work that I can be especially proud of.

Since my first days of designing websites for local bands, I took a hiatus from web design to develop my photography skills. From 2005-2008, I began a mission to refine my skills and develop my artistic eye. Not only has this process made me a better photographer, but it has also made me a better all-around artist, web design included. My vision is one that looks for the best way to view a scene, a person, or the mission of a non-profit or company.

After developing my photography skills, I returned to web design in 2009 and have begun to further develop my photography skills for more professional purposes. I was fortunate to work with the technology team of volunteers at Water is Life - Kenya to do a complete website redesign. In doing so, I have had the opportunity to combine the skills I have been accumulating to help in other fields, such as print and logo design.

I'm from the Baltimore, MD area. I am finishing up my undergraduate work at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore and have plenty of time this semester to work on various design projects. I will graduate from Loyola this spring with a B.A. in Global Studies.

Throughout my artist endeavors, I have acquired advanced Photoshop, HTML, and CSS skills. I look forward to working with you on your next design project!
